It's my first shift in the circulation desk of the library. I already like it better than any job I've ever had. There's no free food, but I'm getting paid more, and already a lot of kids I know have come by and said hi. So I'm feeling good about this.
I'm feeling pretty good about being back in general. My classes are interesting (I'm taking Spanish Conversation, Japanese Politics, Japanese 101, International Organization, and 19th-20th Century European Diplomacy) but I can definitely envision being buried under all the work.
Really, it's going to be a struggle to keep up with everything. I have five classes (typical courseload is four) plus a gym class (karate/self defense), I'll have three jobs if everything goes my way (this one plus the student garden and our computer support department), I have my RA duties (turns out that most of my residents aren't healthy living kids, just the few upperclassmen who have singles on my floor) and all of my extracurriculars (alternative newspaper, service fraternity, concert committee, radio, etc.). So I think it's going to be really busy. Should be interesting.
Monitor this journal, make sure I seek help if I seem to be losing my grip on reality.
